Kimberly Ramirez Gonzalez


Kimberly Jessica Ramirez Gonzalez is a 20-year-old Bachelor of Arts student at the University of California Merced, where she majors in Sociology with an emphasis in political sociology and social change. Kimberly is passionate about community organizing through law and youth involvement. Kimberly founded her first nonprofit, Girls United when she was seventeen. Through this organization, she worked with at-risk young girls to help them overcome drug addictions, gang affiliations, and domestic violence trauma. Kimberly also worked for Hidden Villa Educational Institute as a summer intern in 2016, where she planned and executed daily lesson plans for high school students on social and environmental justice. Kimberly is driven to become a human rights attorney and help advocate for underrepresented marginalized communities. Kimberly is a 2017 Cultural Vistas fellow interning with Subir al Sur in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
