Jennifer Moran is a 20-year old sophomore at Smith College majoring in Sociology and Portuguese-Brazilian Studies. Last summer she interned with Breakthrough Collaborative in Houston, TX, where she taught a self-designed Algebra class to 24 students in hopes of fostering academic excellence and preparing them for rigorous coursework during the academic school year. In 2015 and 2016, she interned with the Urban Education Initiative Fellowship both in New York and Chicago where she directed students on college selection, application, admission and financial assistance. Today, she volunteers with Girls Inc. to empower, educate, and guide girls forward. Jennifer is interested in exploring career paths in human resources and education policy. She is passionate about providing educational access and services to underserved students. During her free time, Jennifer plays tennis, does Zumba, and hangs out with friends.
